Madi's Year

Madison and her cute twin friends Madi and Morgan...The are growing sooo fast!!

Madison had the opportunity this year to do Alice in Wonderland and if i compare it to last years play at LibertyMiddle School in Colorado....WOW! No comparison. Sunset hires out to bring in great directors that actually care about the kids and having a great show. Mr Pav from Liberty is the drama teacher and i don't think he enjoys teaching or directing so much any more because it shows in his work. It is like night and day...This show for a Jr. High play was AMAZING and Madison had a fabulous time doing it. I got to shoot the play and i had fun getting involved with Madi and the school. She has made such a turn around since moving here and she has so many friends that treat her good and have the same standards as her which i know helps..I am proud of Madison and all she has accomplished. She did also try out for cheer but she didn't make it because she has only had a few months of Tumbling classes but she is going to work hard all year and try again next year...She has also attempted running for V.P. She didn't make that either but i am proud she is outting herself out there and have so many learning experiences. She said she is going to try again next year if she doesn't make cheer either. I was able to help her with her projects and it is really a lot of work but fun. I am glad school is almost over so we can take a breather....Madi did finish strong with grades though she has been on the honor roll all year and has had a 3.6 she might finsh with close to a 3.9 or 3.8 because she wants a huge payout from dad for all her a's and spending money for summer...lol She has even gone to her first dance of the year after being so scared and actually danced with a boy...ha ha...she is so cute. 8th grade here we come....

Brookie and Aydan's First Soccer Experience

So we thought it a good idea to try and find out what the younger girls like to do or what their thing is...so we put them in soccer to try this first. They went in not knowing really how to play or what to expect, but they do know how to kick a ball which is a good start. Mike offered to coach one of the teams, but instead of one team he got both girls teams to coach...it is a lot of work for him but i know he loves it and the girls love have daddy as their coach. The first 10 min into Brooklynn's game the ball slapped her thigh and she came out crying saying she never wanted to play again and asking if she could take dance now. 5 minutes into Aydan's game she got tripped and a boy fell on her head and she came out crying swearing she would never play again. Since i paid up money of course i said "Not until you finish soccer." so we gave them a pep talk about it is okay to fall down and so forth so now they have played every game. Brooklynn still gets a bit timid to get to close to much but she tries and she is doing well. Aydan just cracks me up. She jumps and hops around the ball like she is going to fight it or for all you West Side Story fans...going to rumble the ball lol...She gets in there though and kicks the ball and she finally scored a goal last game and she didn't even know it. But sad to say soccer is definitely not their thing and we can cross this off our list...I guess dance is our next try. It was sure fun watching and cheering them on though...

Summer 2010

So i am way behind on my blog which is bad because i just moved to Utah and i know that our friends in Colorado are curious as to what we have been up to. We had a great summer being with family and also being able to go to California and Disneyland. We did some camping and the girls were in a parade for cheer camp and we just had fun. I have put a slideshow on so you can see some of the fun things we did.
